another week flies by, is it really monday today?

January 17, 2011

So this week flew by which is weird becasue it was a little slower than normal i felt, but im loving it here in murrietta so much, Lindsey and rob happy b-days, im excited for my family everyone is so cool.
Being in a family ward and singles branch is so cool becasue we get the best of both worlds. People keep inviting their friends and we are teaching a ton. DOnna is getting baptised on the 28th and every week she is just so much happier it seems you see such a glow about her, her son brandon will be baptiseing her he received the priesthood on sunday at church which is retty cool. A girl Cayzia Reed who is an amazing artist is doing a drawing of me for my birthday im pretty stoked ill show it to ya'll when i get it on my birthday, we have a guy from the seventy coming to speak elder keron, he spoke at conference on the scorpions and wearing the shoes and the flip flops, we're pretty excied he's only been a member of the church for like twenty years, he will be speaking about his conversion story.
I feel like my emails have been so uninteresting and informal, we dont have a lot of crazy contacts on the street or anything because a lot of what we do is jsut teach teach teach, we teach lessons all the time and so i dont like sharing the details of every lesson, becasue thats weird i feel like to everyone about something that is pretty personal and special for them and for me, But i have been studying a lot in the scriptures about how people in the scriptures were able to have such personal and powerful spiritual experiences and how i could be entitled to the same, i see that it comes down with bcoming more sanctified and pure in thought and actions and continually taking advantage of the atonement, we had a multizone conference this week and it was on that exact topic, sister reeves spoke and it hit me really ahrd on what i need to do to have those experiences more in my life. I love president reeves and his wife so much they are the best. I love the scriptures so much i know they are truly inspired and by reading and applying whats in them it can transform us into what God wants us to be, i probably have a ton of errors, there isnt a ,ouse on this one so i dont know how to do spell check,\
thank you so much for all that you all do for me with your prayers and your letters and everything.
love you all,
Elder Schallenberger
